  • Close-up of Erasmo's Sunday Sauce: bright green parsley and basil with oregano, onion and chili

    Erasmo's Sunday Sauce

A red-sauce seasoning in the Italian-American style, with parsley, basil and onion. Named for my grandfather, made for meatballs, sausage, braciole or a long pot of beans.

  • Close-up of the saffron and peperoncino blend: fine orange-red paprika and salt with saffron and fennel seed

    Saffron & Peperoncino Blend

Italian saffron with peperoncino. Bloom a spoonful in warm broth or oil for ten minutes, then cook rice or farro in it, rub it on pork, or toss it with roasted potatoes.
